If Biggie Smiles was desiring affection, they’ve got it. With the new single “We Wanted Love” the Los Angeles act put together a vibrant house record that has us dancing and singing along in a big way. Mylen performed the vocals to give the track some more poppy sensibilities. At the end of the day though, this is one of houses coolest records of 2016.
Everything from the piano chords to the slick guitar to even the choral hits are just on point. Biggie Smiles turned out the Summer time vibes early with this groovy and infectious original. When I first heard this tune, I threw it on repeat without even realizing and played it longer than you probably should listen to one song. Biggie Smiles has an impressive catalog of music, even if it is only 5 tracks total. As you would guess, their releases have been sparse, however with two records out this year, 2016 is looking like when the duo will really make their mark. Until next time, stream “We Wanted Love.”
